Pediatric Brain Tumor Program

The best care

Our pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program offers comprehensive, compassionate diagnosis and treatment of pediatric tumors of the brain and spinal cord. In collaboration with the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, our team works collaboratively with other centers, referring physicians, and families in New Jersey’s largest pediatric neuro-oncology program. We have a dedicated multi-disciplinary team to optimize treatment plans. A patient liaison at will expedite a consultation and assist in scheduling and coordination for each child. As a comprehensive program we see all patients 21 years of age and under and patients will be seen within 24 hours of contacting our coordinators.

The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center is the leading institution in a phase I effort with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. They also participate in multi-institutional trials based out of centers such as the Johns Hopkins University. In addition, investigator lead studies incorporating centers from around the country have been established at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, making it a leader in treating pediatric brain tumors.

In order to further our efforts in helping children with brain tumors, the New York Giants and the Children’s Cancer Institute at HackensackUMC have joined forces to develop the Tackle Kids Cancer program, helping families by advancing research and providing children access to the highest level of care.
